Parents of an SDP participant. We built this list for our own child first, then decided to keep it up to date and share it. The list is not public — see What below for how it's used.

What

A provider list we check ourselves

Local businesses and individual instructors in the four counties. We are contacting them one by one and, as they answer, we record whether they accept third-party (FMS) invoicing, the ages they serve, and whether they have worked with students who are nonverbal or need a 1:1 aide.

Planning service — $100

Tell us your child's age, this year's goals (IPP language is fine), budget band and availability. We match against the list and come back with a short plan: which providers, in what order, what to ask each one, plus wording you can use in your spending plan. Payment details are sent after review — nothing is charged on this site.

This is planning support, not Independent Facilitation. If you have an IF, share the plan with them.

How we reach providers

We send every candidate the same short email with three questions. This is the exact text:

Hi, I'm a parent in Santa Clara County. My son receives services through the Regional Center's Self-Determination Program, and I'm putting together a list of local instructors that families in the program can use. Three quick yes/no questions — a one-line reply is plenty: 1. Are you currently taking new students? 2. Could you accept payment by invoice from the program's fiscal agent (a third-party payer), rather than from the family directly? 3. Have you worked with Regional Center families before? If you'd rather not be listed, just say so and I won't follow up. Thank you, Joo

Providers who answer are added to the list with their answers. Nobody pays to be listed.

What we don't do

No paid listings and no "featured" providers. A provider cannot buy a better position.
We never touch program money. Your FMS pays providers directly, as it always has. The only thing a family ever pays us is the planning fee, billed separately by email — never through your SDP budget.
We don't sell or share family information. Support-profile answers in the planning request are used only to choose matching providers and are not passed to individual providers.
We are not a regional center, an FMS, a vendor, or an independent facilitator. We are parents keeping a list.
